The ionic footbath is more of a medi-spa device or a tool of energy medicine rather than a conventional medical machine. In this context, it can be of some assistance as a preventive measure. According to different manufacturer’s claims the ionic footbath utilizes compound electric current and magnetic field structure for the purpose of detoxifying the body from chemicals, radiation, pollution, synthetics and other foreign materials trapped in the client’s body tissue.
According to our own observation especially due to client feedback we can surmise that the bath indeed provides a partial detoxification of the body from pesticides, acids, chlorides, fluorides, excess mucus and, to a lesser degree, heavy metals. In other words, the footbath flushes these poisons out of the liver, joints, gall bladder, kidney, lymphatic system and other bodily tissues where they are stored – and create harm, in the long run even havoc.
The machine can be set at five different treatment modes. According to the setting different forms of detoxification are provided and the color change in the water varies accordingly; naturally also depending on the health status of the client. With your naked eye you can discern different discharges in the water, namely:
- White foam, slime or mucus flakes discharged from the lymphatic system;
- Deep orange discoloration from the detoxification of the joints;
- Green discoloration from liver detox;
- Red specks from stagnated blood, which starts to move;
- Black specks from heavy metal release
However, the thirty minutes of the duration of the actual treatment mark only the beginning of the detoxification process, which lasts for 24 hours. Many clients therefore report detox reactions, before they experience increased vitality. These detox reactions appear in the form of a sense of sluggishness or tiredness; lose motions; headaches; slightly raised body temperature – all of which do not persist longer than for a few hours.
Then, as my clients report, the benefits set in. They feel more energetic, even fully revitalized.
We concede that it is a good starting point, especially when a series of 3 to 5 treatments is given and the client re-hydrates his system by drinking plenty of fresh spring water. Based on the above findings, at Healthy Healing we use the footbath mainly in general detoxification programs and not in the treatment of any serious chronic conditions.
