Fireproofing the System against Disease – The Basic Premise of Detoxification Medicine

When they first hear about detoxification in medicine, many may believe its aim would be to rid the body of all toxins, in one clean sweep, or several clean sweeps.  Somewhat along the lines: We put toilet cleaner solution in the toilet bowl in order to make it look and smell good.  Likewise, we would put some super nutritional supplements, herbs, ozone and chelating agents in the body in order to clean out, or “detox” the body in order to make it look younger, age slower and appear squeaky clean, almost like new.  This is not the case, but a misunderstanding, besides it would not work because it is impossible.  Once we rid the body of x-amount of toxins such is not the end of the story, because the same toxins will be back tomorrow, or next week.

So, what are we doing when we are applying techniques of detoxification in medicine?  Quite simply, we are fireproofing the structure so that it regains the necessary strength to fight off disease on its own.  This is anyway what the body does best.  Neither medicines nor doctors, and especially NOT so-called cure-all remedies are curing patients of ills, they are only assisting the patients’ body-minds’ autoimmunity to kick in to deal with the problem.  Therefore the point in detoxification and rejuvenation medicine is to help the body shed the toxic overload, thereby freeing its energies for better health and more enjoyable living.  The idea is to clean the body to the point when it rebalances itself in order to maintain its own health, its natural state.

Bernard Rimbaud hit the nail on the head when he wrote in Science News:
Looking for the germ or virus involved [in disease] is merely a search for one of the many potentially precipitating events.  It is more constructive to consider disease as a setback for the body’s usually formidable defenses, than as a victory for the attacking microbes.  Medicine has generally taken the opposite view, and it has proven to be a faulty strategy.  It is far better to fireproof a structure than to spend a great deal of time and effort to decide whether the fire was started by a match or a cigarette.”
