The CLEAN Outline of How to Approach the Task of Cleaning Up Your Bodymind

More widely read than the 9 PRINCIPALS OF SELF-HEALING and presently the bible for detoxification for many, Dr. Alejandro Junger’s book CLEAN, appears to speak to and reach hundreds of thousands of people: ordinary folks like you and I as well as plenty of celebrities who all have written testimonials and given rave reviews.

Junger's approach is far from being unique.  I have been explaining these issues to my patients and have helped many of them for quite a few years now, although with a slightly different slant.  But I like the way, Junger makes the point so succinctly. Which makes him successful because remains simple and down to earth.  He also uses his own past mistakes to illustrate what habits and behaviors to reassess in your life, if you really want to enjoy it; instead of just 'surviving'.

With regard to the necessary appraoc toward radiant health, Junger breaks it down into sixteen steps.  If you are not able to follow all of them, make an effort to follow as many as you can manage.

“Your list of goals for the next year may include some or all of the following.  Add your own goals to the list

  1. Find an open-minded doctor.
  2. Eat Clean: eat organic food, nothing processed, 51% raw, avoid chemicals, buy food at your local farmers’ market
  3. Install water filters and air filters at home
  4. Do the Clean program periodically.  Fast every night for 12 hours.  Juice for one day a week, for five days with every change of season; and for one week to 10 days a year.  Or do some research and find the plan that resonates with you.  More and more plans for detox are being talked about everywhere.  Explore them.
  5. Keep blood and inner environment alkaline.  Periodically measure acidity by using pH strips on saliva.
  6. Exercise.
  7. Meditate.
  8. Get bodywork (massage, chiropractic, reflexology, osteopathy, cranio-sacral therapy).
  9. Do stretching, yoga or Pilates.
  10. Express creativity.
  11. Rest and sleep.
  12. Spend time with loved ones.
  13. Establish a custom-tailored supplement regimen.
  14. Get blood tests and other tests once a year.
  15. Read and learn about health and wellness.
  16. Find a wellness coordinator.”

Or come and see me at Healthy Healing and we can discuss all these issues in person.
